Driveway accessories – block paving finishing touches

MD Paving use a number of kerb and driveway accessories to finish off your driveway, patio or pathway. Edging not only looks great but is a must to prevent the laying course material from escaping. The units, which are laid along the perimeter, also help to support any weight bearing loads. They help contain lateral loads and prevent the rotation of the paving blocks. Plaskerb has a fantastic range to which MD Paving frequently use.

Edge Restraints

These include small and large, weathered and a special range of units which are suitable for a variety of paving jobs. They come in various tones which as charcoal, brindle, red and buff with weathered kerbs available in peak stone and granite stone.

Radial Blocks

Radial blocks have been designed to reduce the need for splitting on site. They come in different sizes and profiles. They too are available in various colours and are designed to compliment Plaskerbs existing range.

Channel Blocks

Designed to specifically help with drainage and clear standing water in most domestic driveways. As most driveways are paved with conventional concrete blocks (which are impermeable) a drainage surface water system, needs to be installed.

Como Circle Setts

Ideal to use as the centre feature of a circle and to finish off the edges. Great design to any driveway or patio.

Mobility Kerb

Designed with accordance to guidelines for disabled access, a must for anyone with disabled needs.

Manholes

Unsightly ironwork such as manholes can be covered by a soldier or stretcher course of block, which can be used to make a feature instead of an eyesore. If the manhole cover has straight sides, then a stretcher course should be butted up against the unit. Alternatively, a cover which is recessed can be incorporated into the block laying pattern.

All of the above driveway accessories will give your block paving a professional finishing touch!
